Artist's Statement

​

Human action is caused by motivation and desire, and is given its locomotion by the inner thoughts of the designer. I hope to address this through my work and interest in User Experience design, and to create experiences that can be appreciated by everyone. I strive to invoke positive and constructive thoughts, feelings, and actions to the viewer through my human-centered design work. I have an incredible passion for design, and my attention to detail is also an important part of my design process. I love the process of design, and making objects usable through user centered design thinking.

Biography

 

Originally, I wanted to study Mechanical Engineering in college, and keep my artwork as a personal hobby. I was worried that I would burn out and not enjoy art anymore if I pursued an art major.

 

Although I did very well as a mechanical engineer, I realized that my joy was really in art. The Studio Art classes and my UX Certification have allowed me to take what I did in my free time and make it into something that will be an enjoyable career.

 

Currently in my free time, I experiment with various types of artistic expression, which allows me to continue to make art for my own benefit and enjoyment. Because art is such a broad field, I am able to envision making art for a living while having another expression of art for myself and my personal happiness.
